Welcome to Wonderland! Last week our Artistic Team took to the KAO Salon Showcase stage in London. The team was led by Rush International Artistic Director, Andy Heasman who explained the inspiration behind the presentation. “We were inspired by Cosplay, a performance art where people dress up and act like a character from a work of fiction such as a comic book, video game, or television show. Cosplayers interact to create a subculture and we have created our own version, Wonderland.” It was amazing for our Artistic team to be back on the Goldwell stage and showcase their talents.
We have some exciting news! Our Wimbledon salon is re-open after having a mini-makeover. Rush Wimbledon, our first ever hair salon, opened it doors in 1994 and was created with a dream to make a mark on the hairdressing industry and over the years this has been achieved with Rush Hair & Beauty winning numerous awards, opening countless salons and building our advanced academy. We are so excited to welcome you back to where is all started and give your hair the pamper session it deserves.

Tell us about your career at Rush? I joined Rush in 2010 as an assistant working at the Strand salon. Since then, I have had multiple promotions including; Front Of House at One New Change, supporting new salon openings to become a Front Of House Salon Manager at Rush Strand. Most recently I have also got involved with mentoring and training for our other Rush Front of house roles. What surprised you about working at Rush? How much involvement I have had in shaping and growing the business has been something that surprised me the most. Having grown from an assistant to a Front of House Manager just shows the trust and potential there is here at Rush. ✨Rush Takes Athens✨ Last month our fabulous, Andy Heasman and Kirsty Judge took a flight to Athens ready to teach at the famous Lemon Poppy Seed Academy. As soon as they arrived, they got to work… Day 1 was all about demonstrations. The team had 30 students from Greece come to a look-and-learn session, creating 4 fabulous looks. These included creative colours, sharp cuts and best practice advice from Andy and Kirsty. Going into days 2 and 3 was where the fun started for the students… workshops! They were split into 2 groups, one half worked on colour techniques with Kirsty and the others on cutting with Andy (swapping the next day). Their looks were based around the Rush team's most recent metaverse collections and the results from the students blew us away… We caught up with Kirsty when she was back and she was so excited about how it went. She said “I found it such a great challenge, especially as it was different to my day-to-day experience in salon. But it was really rewarding!" ⭐ RUSH AFTER DARK 2022 ⭐ On Monday, we opened the doors to our gorgeous Rush Academy in Covent Garden and welcomed Rush stylists to showcase some of the NEW educational courses that are on offer to them. From cutting short hair with confidence, creative styling, heat & movement (specializing in hot tools), to afro-texture haircare and styling. We were joined by stylists from all of our 50+ Rush Hair salons and enjoyed an evening mingling & getting creative. At Rush, we love to develop our stylists to ensure they have the confidence to flourish each and every day on the shop floor. And that's exactly what the heartbeat of the Rush Academy is set out to do... educate and inspire.
