When faced with a mountain of discarded pillows that had been used by customers on flights over the course of the season, TUI Airway’s Aircraft Service Manager, Laleta Jnagal, decided to find charitable causes who could use them. Working with her TUI Destination Experiences colleagues, several worthy causes were identified in Mexico, Florida and Mauritius. Laleta, along with the support of Nick Carter, started putting plans in place to get the pillows, otherwise destined for disposal or landfill, out to the relevant destinations. Receiving the first delivery of pillows in resort, Nick saw first-hand the impact they had on the local community, “These pillows have brought smiles to the faces of so many who needed them. It was a real eye-opener to see how much joy can be brought to someone with a simple pillow to make their days that little bit more comfortable. We’d like to thank Laleta, and TUI Airways, for thinking about our local communities in resort.” Well done to everyone involved in this great initiative.
We had such a fantastic time hosting a lunch for Age Concern at our offices in Luton. It was the perfect opportunity for a natter, some food, a quiz and a bit of a dance ☺️🎄 A big thank you to everyone involved 😃 #Community #Christmas #proud
We're very proud to be supporting one of our local Luton charities. Our in-house catering team BaxterStorey have agreed to contribute pre-packaged sandwiches, baguettes, wraps and fresh fruit pots that are leftover at the end of the day to NOAH Enterprise. NOAH (New Opportunities And Horizons) is a Luton-based Homelessness charity offering hope and support to people struggling against exclusion. #CharityTuesday #Community #Proud
