Come to TeenTech with us! 👩💻 Our tech team recently attended the TeenTech festival, an event designed to inspire young teenagers about career potential available to them in the world of tech. This interactive festival allowed students to dive into immersive challenges, handle cutting-edge technology, and connect with engineers, technologists, and scientists to learn more about the industry. Our ambassadors Alex, Phil, Serge, Sandra, Tim, Besiana, and Zoe were thrilled to volunteer, guiding students through activities and exhibitions. Pride at TUI Day. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Yesterday, we celebrated Pride at TUI Day, a special occasion to encourage all our colleagues to "Come as You Are" and honour our diverse identities. Although we celebrate Pride with our colleagues year round, as part of Pride month we chose yesterday as the day we want everyone at TUI to truly embrace and commemorate this meaningful event. Some of the activities across TUI included virtual guest speaker sessions, live speakers in our offices, market stalls, and photo booths. We proudly and strongly support our LGBTQIA+ colleagues every day. Happy Pride Month! 💙
Meet Eilidh, a new member of our UK Cabin Crew team. From Nursing to the skies, here’s Eilidh’s inspiring career journey so far. ✈️💙 Driven by her passion for travel and caring for others, Eilidh transitioned from a career in nursing to join our team in February. Since earning her wings in March, she has already visited a number of different destinations such as Turkey, Greece, and Italy. On the horizon? Her supernumerary flight on the 787 Dreamliner which she is extremely excited for! 🛫 💬 “Working at TUI is like working with one big happy family. Showcasing cloud computing excellence at WorldSkills Ireland! Paul Glesmann, Apprentice for Application Development, recently attended the WorldSkills competition in Ireland where 14 different nations came together to compete and showcase their skills on an international level. This friendly competition serves as a valuable practice for the upcoming main event in Lyon. "At the event in Ireland, I competed in the cloud computing competition. On the first day, I created and deployed a secure, reliable web server infrastructure. The second day involved solving 15 diverse challenges, including coding, infrastructure optimization, and AI for data analysis. The final day focused on infrastructure design, enhancing security, configuring firewalls, and implementing DevOps practices" We are proud of Paul's achievements and look forward to seeing him excel at the WorldSkills event in Lyon!

But when his work day ends, he's off on adventures, exploring the vibrant landscapes of Colombia, utilising our flexible Workwide scheme, allowing our colleagues to work from any country up to 30 days per year! We asked Leonardo how he collaborates with his team, even on the other side of the world: "In the Tech domain, we build a community to share the knowledge and create discussion forums that increase awareness on current topics across all teams, but also to create a bond between colleagues and increase the trust and collaboration". "Collaboration is not an issue since it’s always remote, I’m just located somewhere else; it drastically improves the work-life balance". From exploring the world as a child, to seeing the world as a TUI Senior First Officer. 🌎🧑✈️ Shanice dreamt of becoming a Pilot since she was young, inspired by her mother's career as a flight attendant and their travels worldwide. At just 12 years old, Shanice's first cockpit experience during a take-off and landing solidified her aspiration to become a pilot. 🛫 With a lot of work, dedication, studying, and motivation, Shanice achieved her dream of taking to the skies as a Pilot. In 2019 she began at TUI, and since last year she has been flying on the B787 Dreamliner. ✈️ 💬 “I am always striving to learn, to grow, and to become the best version of myself. Working for this company has given me the space to do that. Always working in a pleasant atmosphere and met by colleagues with enthusiasm all around. TUI is an organisation that spreads happiness and always brings a smile to myself and all passengers on board!”
