Meet Lily: The journey from Copywriter to Senior Marketing Copyrighter at TUI! 🚀 Ever wondered what it's like to craft captivating content for a travel giant like TUI? Well, here's my story! "I joined the TUI family back in March 2023, diving straight into the First Choice Editorial team as a Marketing and Lifestyle Copywriter. From revamping our tone of voice to creating fresh, engaging content, I've been part of the brand's exciting relaunch. Fast forward to January 2024, and I was promoted to Senior Marketing and Lifestyle Copywriter, ready to take on bigger challenges and lead our growing team of writers." "You might ask, why TUI? 🤔 It's simple - passion! I came into this role after a bit of a career break where I did a lot of travelling so the idea that I could continue that passion in my writing and get paid to do it was a bit of a dream. It makes such a difference to love what you're talking about and if I was a copywriter for anything else I'm not sure it would be the same. So, what's next on my adventure? As I settle into my new role, I'm excited to share my knowledge and deliver some training to our newest team member, take on the challenge of delivering more team-wide updates and taking the lead on reporting back on various projects from a copy and content perspective." Helping to #MakeADifference at TUI. 🙌 Jessica and Callum from our Talent Acquisition team have been instrumental in driving a significant initiative in partnership with Smart Works. Building on prior collaborations with the charity, they brought on board our dedicated team of Airport Reps, Cabin Crew, Pilots from Newcastle Airport, and colleagues from our First Choice Contact Center. Together, Jessica and Callum orchestrated a "Donation Drive," resulting in a collective contribution from our colleagues of twelve bags of clothing, accessories, and shoes. These donations will empower women in the North East of England for upcoming job interviews, instilling confidence and aiding in their employment prospects. 💼 Well done to all those involved in this impactful initiative. 💙 #LifeAtTUI #TUICareers
We are very excited to share that Davina McCall has joined us for the third year of an amazing collaboration with our global hotel brand, TUI BLUE. This time, she took a trip to the TUI BLUE Olhuveli Romance resort in the Maldives and dived into a behind the scenes journey. During her stay, she joined our TUI BLUE Guides to create memorable personal experiences for some fellow guests. She uncovered the very best activities, food and top-quality service that our TUI BLUE resorts offer and joined her new holiday mates snorkeling around a deserted shipwreck, learning how to cook authentic Maldivian cuisine in a cooking class with the Chef and working out in a dance fitness class on an exercise platform suspended over the Indian Ocean. From Apprentice to Manager - meet Chelsea 💙 Chelsea joined TUI 18 months ago on our Finance Apprenticeship Programme and has recently been promoted internally to Commercial Manager in our Ancillaries team. We asked Chelsea about how her Apprenticeship has helped her and her journey with us - "As part of the Apprenticeship Programme, I moved around the Finance function and got to know many teams. So, when the role in the Ancillaries team came up, I was able to speak to many people around the business that I had got to know. They were able to answer my questions and really helped guide me through the career choice of Finance or Commercial. The colleagues who run the Finance Apprenticeship Programme reached out to me as well to support me and ask for feedback. My apprenticeship gave me insight into how large businesses, like TUI, work and changed my perspective of a career in Finance. Before starting I believed that if I wanted to use numeracy and analytical skills to support on business decisions that a Finance career was the only option, but that's definitely not the case. TUI has such a strong belief in personal progression and development which means I've been able to grow, be challenged and showcase my ability!" This could be you one day...
