Apprenticeships play an essential role in the running of phs. We invest in our employees and offer apprenticeships to existing employees to help them grow within their roles and themselves. Here are some highlights from our 2022 apprenticeship scheme.
Internal promotion - phs Greenleaf appoint new MD, Stephen Dieppe
Rewarding our talent with five new promotions across phs. Fostering talent inside the phs family and being passionate about creating an inclusive and diverse workplace are two of our primary objectives. The culture of our company, which supports each employee as they progress with us and encourages them to achieve to the best of their abilities, is at the core of its success. We've proudly supported the roll-out of the Department for Education free period products scheme for schools and colleges since it launched in 2020. Since then, 97% of secondary schools and 92% of post-16 organisations have ordered, with demand for environmentally friendly products surging this year.
Meet the class of 2022. Six phs colleagues sign up for the Chwarae Teg mentorship programme to help boost their careers and obtain valuable skills that can be leveraged both within the workplace and in other aspects of their lives. Good luck Hannah, Isabelle, Laura, Kate, Emma, and Danielle.
First win for phs internal communications. Last Friday, the internal communications team attended their first ever awards, the Institute of Internal Communication IoIC National Awards in London and walked away with the 'Best Image' award! Many congratulations to Amy and her team who were commended for their hard work in introducing Yammer to the business, and to Ryan for your award winning 'Best Image' award in support of #InternationalWomensDay.
Double internship places for students with learning difficulties. We're extremely excited for the next internship scheme with Project SEARCH, Bridgend College, and Hft to begin this month, which will run until June 2023, at which point the interns will be supported into the next stage of their career. Welcome to the team!
This Saturday we hosted the first phs sales conference event since the pandemic to celebrate the outstanding achievements, good news stories, collaborative attitudes which contribute to success, our corporate social responsibility position, and the hard work of our sales teams. Developing amazing products is one of the most complex challenges for a company and one of the biggest predictors of success, but strong customer relations is what truly determines the success of a business. Our colleagues foster emotional connections with customers, build partnerships to create a better world for all. We couldn’t be prouder on how we support the planet, our employees, customers and communities. It was a pleasure to be able to donate some plants, pots, and canes to a local primary school in Laleham. Where the children are now involved in planting and taking care of their new Wild Garden and have even had some lessons in it. Well done to all involved 👏
