Friendly and responsive recruiter. Smooth process.
Someone has posted an overall summary of the coding challenge and the onsite, which was very similar to my experience, except that I also had an vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript portion.
The interviewers were professional, but very cold. The hiring manager was the most friendly and easiest to talk to, but asked so many questions that there was maybe 5 minutes left for me to ask my questions. I spoke with 5 people in total.
I'm curious how much the take home coding challenge is taken into account when weighing technical aptitude. I submitted it below 3 hour limit on my first try, while I made some errors while live coding on the onsite.
The most challenging was the behavioral portion of each interview round. The recruiter emphasized a lot on the theme of each round, a specific question they would be asking and follow up questions on it, and to prepare to go in great detail. I did prepare other back up stories but not as much as for the questions I thought they would be asking me. Only once did an interviewer ask the question I was told to prep for. Everyone else asked questions that could have been asked in any round and did not ask any of the questions I was told to prep for. I should have prepped for it differently.
