Pros

A wonderful Brand image and history

Cons

The egotism of the Senior Directors - lead from the very top. The inherent culture is to apply enforcement of overtime to junior staff and a fear of instant reprisal if you or they voice concerns or resist. The Business is driven by fear and autocracy and the huge differential in salaries and benefits of those at the top versus those that do the work is extreme and in the UK without precedent. What you see on the outside of the Burberry Brand is not what goes on inside head office. The reason the lights burn into the night is the imposed hours that junior staff are working

Pros

Most staff members are amazing to work with including a handful of management members. The Brand Itself Sample sales Company discount

Cons

Boys Club Mentality (friends of friends fill high level roles and those under that umbrella are safe from HR cases) A “not what you know but who you know” promotion selection process Objectives are irrelevant, your score is predetermined on likability. Some Managers forced by senior managers to score staff below average without knowing staff members workloads or objectives. Senior managers and some directors can’t get the basics right, poor budgeting, poor management, bullying tactics, blame culture without accountability. If you aren’t a “yes” person, you will soon realise joining a union is a must. Training provided on a face fits selection If you ask for pay rises your pretty much told you should be happy to be working for Burberry and the benefits it adds to your CV. Outdated software has money thrown at it than admit it’s not fit for purpose. Hard work and innovative ideas will be ripped off and passed off as managers work or ideas. Town hall open forum questions are now always filtered and hard questions ignored or not answered. ****IF YOU GET A JOB, JOIN A UNION “GMB”****

Pros

-Good brand -Staff discount -Easy to sell

Cons

-Managers seem to be hired through the Dilbert Principle. -Managers are extremely incompetent. -Contradicting instructions and quiet bullying by managers into resignation. -Terrible company culture. Employees and managers are encouraged to backstab one another. -The IT devices fail all the time, so if there's an issue, it will take ages to resolve it.
