Pros

Easy job to do with no experience if you learn fast.

Cons

Toxic work environment, constant micromanagement, and they will get rid of you without thinking twice. They fire you with a text message over the weekend after promising a meeting. (Rugby Branch) There is virtually no room for growth and even less hope of a contract. They treat employees, especially agency, as expendable and replaceable.

Pros

None I can think of

Cons

The so-called leadership team completely out of touch, whose members live in the their own family business bubble, as the majority of them have never worked anywhere else in their lifetimes. In result, they are only looking for a reason to make you feel small to cure their complexes and boost their egos. If yo’re after a job in logistics/distribution, there are hundreds of better places in Rugby area to apply. If you are looking for an entry level job in IT, don't get fooled - no one on the job market recognises the name. There are other, bigger players in the area - Ingram in Crick, or Tech Data Synnex in Magna Park to name a few, but they hardly ever take people on, simply because their current employees value their jobs, unlike at CDW, where the turnover of people is just ridiculous. And don't fall for the rubbish that's because of the expansion of the business etc. - again, just have a look at the history of their stock price clearly showing the business is slowly but surely leaving the market (despite all the expenses cuts already made, including wages and benefits). Before applying for a job there, ask yourself twice if you want to become a part of this. Also, if taken on via an agency, prepare for up to 2 years of waiting for a full-time employment, due to already mentioned cost savings (OpEx vs direct headcount expense) The Glassdoor rating of 2.6 is not a lie. Consider yourself warned.

Pros

No health and safety issues.

Cons

Terrible salary. Now less than £1 an hour above the minimum wage for some. PMP's every year and as said elsewhere good reviews still lead to ongoing poor wages. Anti corruption video courses for £13 hour manual workers. No extra money for training new starters. Too many foreign staff. No negotiation over Christmas hours. New warehouse cramped.
