Pros
Great colleagues Good location Caring to patients Some great line managers
Cons
No idea what senior management do, Claire Murdock communicates as well as a brick. Get panicked at any mention of CQC visiting and desperately try to sort out all the improvements / recommendations they should have done previously. Predictable trust wife panic and well paid management responding stupidly and causing work for everyone else at least every 6 months - it’s hilarious. HR team abysmal, slow, unacceptable Far too many band 8s and above who seem to get plenty of development and promotions yet spend all day it ineffective meetings or pretending they making important spreadsheets, yet usually delegate the actual work to the trusts administrators to actually do. Lower band staff treated like they don’t exist , no recognition, almost no development or career progression , yet simultaneously prattle on about their people plan Lot of people get away with not doing their job or being incompetent. Managers allowed to WFH when others in the team are not. Makes having an effective and visible leader, well, impossible. Pedantic point but, Calibri font is used everywhere, where NHS guidance requires arial etc. In a similar vein, many trust documents looks like they were created by a two year old in the 90s.
