Pay for new staff on Cadent G contract Shifts especially for FCOs don’t suit many people, certainly not family friendly

Pros

The salary has just about doubled and made it some what reasonable to provide for families and have a descent standard of living for the sort of work we do as this job basically salary should be over £50,000

Cons

Work life balance is non existent the business is slow to react to negative and is never dealt with and the business seem to throw money at problem when they arise instead of planning ahead

Pros

Left alone but help always available if you need it.

Cons

Call out and shifts are horrible. Guaranteed to be called out when on call so you can't fall asleep. Engineers driving around like zombies the next day. Impossible to book a holiday as you have to get shifts covered. Managers will authorize holidays booked in advance but you are still expected to try and get shifts covered. Job suits someone with no kids but if you have kids don't bother.
