Pros

Working as a Talent Acquisition Manager at Elysium is unlike any other recruitment role I've had. Our KITE values are something we live and breathe, you feel it in the work every single day. Placing a candidate isn't just about filling a role; it's about knowing you're helping to build a team that will directly impact patient lives. The talent needs are diverse, from dedicated support workers to highly specialist clinicians, which makes the role complex but incredibly fulfilling. The internal TA team is fantastic! Collaborative, supportive, and everyone is genuinely passionate about what they do. There is a strong sense of strong shared purpose, which is essential when working in a demanding sector. The benefits package is competitive, and the flexibility around hybrid working is a significant plus, allowing for a good work-life balance.

Cons

Like many large organisations, there can be a fair amount of process and red tape, which can sometimes slow down decision-making. You need to be a confident communicator to navigate this effectively and manage hiring manager expectations.

We’re delighted to hear how strongly our KITE values resonate in your role and that you feel the impact of your work every day. It’s great to see the TA team recognised for their collaboration and passion. We also appreciate your constructive suggestions around streamlining processes and enhancing employer branding—they’re valuable insights and will be taken on board as we continue to evolve and improve.

Pros

Nothing at all. I suppose, at a push, I’d rather be employed there than to be giving sexual favours in car parks for spare change.

Cons

Every. Single. Thing. If anyone reading is familiar with the care sector (either charity, private or public) you will be aware that it is almost entirely comprised of the most morally bankrupt, unscrupulous and downright loathsome individuals ever to walk the face of the earth. Elysiumreally managed to outdo all of the others in this respect, so they are at least good at being terrible. As a side issue, please be aware that the Dane House service is not what it initially appears. Yes, it is an Elysium business-but really only in name only. It is, in fact a franchise between Elysium as the big-bucks ‘name’ and London Care Partnerships as the local, aspirational cowboys and it is indeed a marriage made in hell. Grasping ambition coupled with monumental ineptitude. What could go wrong?… To be honest it would take longer than the space I have allocated in this text box to go into every gory detail. Other have written on this subject and I would advise you to seek out their views.

Pros

All positives are in the past tense

Cons

Since Ramsey took over and the new People Officer joined, the company has had a noticeable cultural decline. What was once a people-first, energetic and collaborative environment has become increasingly focused on status, money and individual agendas. The People Officer in particular shows zero engagement with staff, rarely acknowledges team members in the office and has removed nearly all wellbeing initiatives that our amazing wellbeing champion put in place to keep morale in the office. Something as simple as a tuck shop is clearly not corporate enough for her. The once-positive energy has been replaced by a quiet, low-motivation atmosphere. Its been really sad to watch the decline of what was once such a special place to work and a company I was once proud to be part of.
