Pros
Business is growing. Nice offices and friendly smart people
Cons
Feels like in school, you are being told off for little things just for management to show off their power. Leaders do whatever they want but staff have to obey and blindly follow orders and work long hours for little money/rewards. No collaboration as leaders don;t listen to ideas and proposals from staff and there is no recognition or reward, only to few select favourites. Taking initiative is not valued but seen as a threat. No flexibility offered, they will ignore you if you ask for a different way of working, very old fashioned approach. You are not treated as a responsible adult or a professional with talents and skills, but more like a soldier - to be used and drained in order for leaders to shine. Teams don't have pride and ownership in what they do because leaders are very passive in their roles, they don't encourage or inspire them. Leadership team don't want any changes to happen because they only know how to run a business in chaos. UK office keeps hiring senior managers and directors, but who is going to do the jobs.... Favouritism is making talented people leave.
