Pros

Well-known brand with a strong presence on the high street • Good initial training and clear company procedures • Stores are generally well-presented and organised

Cons

Team culture can feel very cliquey, making it difficult to feel included if you’re not part of the “inner circle” • Hard work and going above and beyond often goes unrecognised • Clear favouritism from management, with opportunities and praise not shared equally • Very little flexibility around working patterns or personal circumstances • Bonus structure is disappointing, with rewards feeling very small compared to the effort expected

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and honest feedback about your experience with us. We’re pleased to hear you valued the training, clear procedures, and the standards we set in our stores, and that you felt proud to work for our well-known high street brand. That said, we’re sorry to read how you felt about the team culture and your experience of recognition, fairness and flexibility. At Beaverbrooks, we’re incredibly proud of our values and of creating a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone feels appreciated for their contribution, so it’s disappointing to hear that this wasn’t how it felt for you. Your comments around feeling excluded, recognition not being shared fairly, and flexibility are taken seriously. Feedback like this is vital in helping us reflect on how we live our values day to day and how we continue to develop our leaders and teams to ensure everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive. Please can you get in touch with me to discuss your feedback further at Lorraine.khan@beaverbrooks.co.uk Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Lorraine

Pros

Higher up management are amazing and care about employees, its not just talk with Beaverbrooks. They go above and beyond to support their staff. You will get the best customer service training ever! They are VERY fair with payment and rewards. Everyone is treated the same in regards to role and money. No negotiations, which I like, it shows we are equally valued. Bonus if you beat your targets for each financial quarter They celebrate success which is always great HR take allegations very seriously, everyone is heard and they are fair. They prosecute thieves, its not just talk. They wont allow customers to speak to you like garbage, you always have the right to ask someone to leave if they are being abusive. You get the best training in gems and metals to a certified level.

Cons

Only issue is sometimes the "customer is right" was very demoralising when you would stick to your guns when a customer complained about something, and even management agree, but for the sake of people pleasing, head office would often still give out "sorry's" and vouchers to not so nice or deserving people just to keep the peace. As with any job you wont always get along with everyone all the time.
