Pros
Colleagues are always friendly and helpful, enjoyed helping customers find products for them, it was always rewarding when customers would tell you how good your recommendations were.
Cons
Poor management, managers always left the store randomly and would come back with shopping bags but if you go to the toilet then you get moaned at for ‘disappearing’. They would put words into your mouth and make out you say stuff you didn’t say. Poor training, would get moaned at for not doing certain tasks that I have never been shown to do or trained to do. Would ask for a holiday or how to book and got ignored basically. My shifts were set so I only ever got 1 day off no 2 days off in a row. Very quickly got burnt out. Some customers were so awfully rude, even made me cry before on shop floor. Worst of all, the sales targets were always impossible to reach for a dying town centre and when you did reach them then you’d get no recognition. You would have to do makeovers for free but had no actual training whatsoever.
