Pros
- Great culture, particularly amongst the lower levels to Manager - Hours are not too bad, but is dependent on project (public sector vs PE for example) - Good pay for the hours worked and level of responsibility given - If wanting to specialise in procurement and supply chain, great place to be
Cons
- Types of projects can get a bit samey - sourcing, contract management, procurement target operating model are the main ones. Project duration can also be a challenge, with some lasting for several years - Heavy focus on public sector in the UK; if you are eligible for SC, expect to be on a public sector project. Can be positive but limits private sector exposure - Some policies can be too strict. For example, mentors cannot be changed unless they have left/time-duration has passed x years - More management training could be done to support people in learning how to be a manager and their conduct
