Pros

The people, minus the new leadership team. Long weekends

Cons

Medicore pay Mediocre bonus The current chief executive, Marcus price is nothing but a minion working for the shareholders. He doesn't care whatsoever at all about the people or the company. The day that he came to this company is the day that it was doomed. He has single handedly destroyed the fantastic company Andrew Walsh built. The new chief executive is worse than bull in a china shop. People are constantly worried aboht their jobs and who's going to be made redundant next. I hope you read this Marcus Price, what goes around comes around. I hope you one day get the same treatment that you have dished out to all the hard working people that came to work for Andrew Walsh and built this organisation up from nothing. P.s. I knew you were trouble ever since your first ever all hands call.

I assume your comments are made in the context of the transformation activity, which heralded a period of change for Iress. We know some of the changes made during the transformation were difficult but they were required to position Iress for future growth and success. With the transformation now complete, we are already seeing improved performance and this is a validation of the changes made.

Pros

A great sized company where you can move between teams for entirely new experiences and domains but with the familiarity of a larger organisation. Great community spirit and policies that work for employees. Trust from leaders without micro management. Desire from leaders to do things the "right way"A great sized company where you can move between teams for entirely new experiences and domains but with the familiarity of a larger organisation. Great community spirit and policies that work for employees. Trust from leaders without micro management. Desire from leaders to do things the "right way" Fantastic community spirit amongst teams. Willingness to invest in technology to make staff life easier (Gsuite/zoom/slack - well before their time)

Cons

The scale of the business sometimes impacts speed of delivery and agility. Recent salary reviews haven't kept pace with industry inflation. Over burdened middle tier managers spend more time firefighting than strategising

Thanks for such a comprehensive and balanced view on your thoughts of working at Iress. Our people are at the heart of our success, and we trust and empower them to drive forward. It’s great to also see you reference the importance we give to flexibility and opportunity for everyone. Speeding up the movement of our software to Iress’ Cloud Platform, and the delivery of products and services through a single prod-tech platform are just two examples of how we are accelerating the build and delivery of our solutions. We spoke in detail about these, and the other key elements of our plans in our people sessions towards the end of last year.
