Cons
I was part of a mass redundancy - the second round they conducted after telling all staff members that there would not be any more. The CEO is there for no other reason to present the company as profitable so it can be sold again, and as he has no idea how to run a games company he went with the easier option of gutting the headcount. He publically stated there was a poll amongst players to remove the much maligned microtransaction structure of RuneScape when in truth it was always the plan to remove this to avoid having a forced age rating change. The redundancies were made with a generic line that they were due to team restructures yet less than 6 months after people left their roles (in the same teams) have been rerecruited at lower wages. Ineptitude and incompetence rules at Jagex and promotions are down to who looks good in photos on LinkedIn.
