Pros

The business is very interesting and most of the people are friendly and always ready to help.

Cons

I was approached by a recruiter with a job offer for 2 months on a temporary contract. Previously, I usually did not agree to such short contracts. However, due to some circumstances, I accepted this job offer. Initially I had a telephone conversation with the hiring manager / team lead of the finance department, who confirmed to me the length of the contract and the required responsibilities. At work I was not given a proper training; just a brief overview of the business system and providing an aging report. During two weeks I was chasing customers at the point of overdue, learning along the way and dealing with numerous problems left from the previous employee. After 2 weeks my team lead said that she didn’t need me anymore because they found a suitable person who would be working on the permanent contract. When I tried to find out why this was happening and what about our agreements with her, she began to dodge and lie to me. She said that I didn’t make enough calls to the customers, although before that she praised me almost every day. At the same day I received a call from another recruiter who offered me a position of Credit Controller with Loma which actually I occupied that moment. The recruiter told me that the employer Loma Systems was urgently looking for the new employee for Credit Controller role. I was infinitely surprised by such hypocritical and dishonorable behavior of my manager.

Pros

Loma Systems is part of Illinois Tool Works, and it's a great corporation to work for as they like to develop their talent to succeed. I enjoyed my time there, and the benefits were excellent.

Cons

The North America business leader has been a micromanager in every aspect and has not learned what the company does. He has micromanaged to the point where he has created a toxic work environment, and key leadership (some who had been with the company well before he joined) and other hard-working employees have left since his tenure.
