Pros

The smaller offices, (such as Solent or Farnborough) were much friendlier in terms of culture and supportive of staff, I believe a career in these offices could be worthwhile. Good opportunities to meet staff socially.

Cons

Egham in particular had a very toxic culture, closely followed by Leatherhead. Many of the partners there had favourites and you suffered if you weren't one of them. Low salaries and toxic culture leads to such high turnover in trainees/junior staff or support staff. The entire HR team (bar 2 people) left within months of each other with the same complaints which meant disruption and difficulty for us all. Marketing followed suit. They hire trainees in excess knowing they will whittle them down so no surprises to see trainee reviews here saying that they lacked support. It means other staff struggle to have consistency with this churn. Big 4 toxic culture with below par reward. I also saw a shocking lack of diversity and inclusion and no plans to address this when hiring staff.

Pros

I’ve really enjoyed working at Menzies. The culture is genuinely supportive and the people are approachable. I feel like my work is noticed. There’s good recognition for what people do. There are also decent opportunities to learn and take on new challenges. Overall it’s a positive place to work where you can contribute and feel part of something.

Cons

Lots of change/growth - things move fast
