Pros

Pay is above competitors Females preferred over males for some positions (positive if you’re female) New company partner so hopefully the bullying/issues from top management down is hopefully going to be properly looked into and not swept under the rug

Cons

Mental health isn’t taken seriously Hierarchy is unfortunately partner profit, then clients, then staff Culture is very poor - people focus on their own work only and there’s no support Workload is partner driven and they overpromise to clients and pressure you to forgo personal events to complete these tasks (rarely completed themselves) Anything outside your immediate role (audit) is disregarded, so don’t go above and beyond unless it’s to find a way to charge clients more The “open door policy” doesn’t work because you get pushed out the firm if you raise any issues. Partners have their favourites and judge too quickly, and it’s very difficult to change this perception

Pros

Absolutely None what so ever!

Cons

where to begin....... they are tight with pay, never pay bonuses even when targets are met, management are awful lying two faced and backstabbing . They judge you on appearance rather than your work ability. They have no respect for staff or clients. The WORST firm I have ever worked for!!! Avoid at all cost!

Toxic clique culture particularly in Egham office

Pros

The smaller offices, (such as Solent or Farnborough) were much friendlier in terms of culture and supportive of staff, I believe a career in these offices could be worthwhile. Good opportunities to meet staff socially.

Cons

Egham in particular had a very toxic culture, closely followed by Leatherhead. Many of the partners there had favourites and you suffered if you weren't one of them. Low salaries and toxic culture leads to such high turnover in trainees/junior staff or support staff. The entire HR team (bar 2 people) left within months of each other with the same complaints which meant disruption and difficulty for us all. Marketing followed suit. They hire trainees in excess knowing they will whittle them down so no surprises to see trainee reviews here saying that they lacked support. It means other staff struggle to have consistency with this churn. Big 4 toxic culture with below par reward. I also saw a shocking lack of diversity and inclusion and no plans to address this when hiring staff.
