Pros

Some absolutely inspiring and fantastic people who are highly skilled and intelligent. A great brand to work for with an aspiration that it is easy to get behind. Flexible working in the U.K. is excellent and if you do go into the office the free lunch is worth it!

Cons

You only progress if you have a good manager and there are lots of managers who are more keen to manage upwards. There is little or no recognition for those who underpin and keep the business running at the lower levels including no bonus until senior manager level. The company does have an arrogant feel - it is openly said in meetings “this is the Ørsted way” as if that is a good thing - even if it is in disagreement with the rules and regulations of the environment you are working in. Diversity & Inclusion targets are focussed solely on gender and despite having active networks for many years the company is no where near meeting even the lowest of targets and shows no signs at the senior levels of the organisation of changing this.

Thanks for your rating and your comments. The last thing Ørsted wants to be is arrogant, toxic, and non-inclusive, so we've made a note of your comments and will be looking into it. /Birgitta, Ørsted.

Pros

Work life balance. Parental leave is great.

Cons

Not much advancement at all. The culture is almost too laid back where not many people advance unless you got in 20 years ago.
