Pros

In all honesty, I can't think of one.

Cons

Very poor commission structure, no company car. Commission structure cut by 75% and told 3 days after it had come into effect. Basically told "like it or leave". Given 2 weeks notice before our company vehicles would be taken away. Admin and Accounts were made redundant, so made the whole process for everyone working there very difficult. All of the staff are fighting a loosing battle. All of the cars were unprepared, but put onto the forecourt anyway. Head office were absolutely useless, booking in customers on cars that were not even prepared or even worse, not even on our site. Expected to work every hour under the sun with no thanks or reward. Coming from a sales point of view it feels like it's a supermarket, no relationship built with customer. I've worked in other dealerships so I know how they should work, and the way it's ran from the top is absolutely dreadful.

Pros

Good training packages through both the company and the franchised motor group. Potential to earn big money and progress through to management

Cons

Loooooong hours and outdated ideas coming down from management. Many managers I met were still very "old school" salesmen with some outdated and unethical methods. 6 working day weeks and only one weekend off a month for a basic salary of £10k is simply not worth it.

Pros

Loved the other members of the sales team as it was a new site we all started at the same time and became really good friends.

Cons

Management are nothing more than bullies, who think that the best way of motivating us was to threaten to fire us on a daily basis resulting in 8 of 10 us leaving within the first six months and the others leaving or about to leave shortly after.
