Pros

- Lots of good, smart engineering talent. Engineering managers are doing a good job. - Working on interesting problems for an interesting customer base - There is a lot of potential in the people and the products (if properly run). - Good work life balance

Cons

- FiscalNote pays below market rate and is stingy about compensation increases. - There have been frequent rounds of layoffs going back several years. - The company has struggled to pick a strategic direction and has repeatedly changed plans. - The company's leadership has seen a lot of turnover recently. - The company's leadership does not seem to value engineering input. - The company’s CEO seems disconnected from the company. - Teams are often siloed and working at cross purposes. - The company’s financial outlook seems poor.
