Pros

If you relish very large global company environments then Johnson Controls is for you. The higher up the Management chain you are then the more rewarded you are. The treatment of women however is far from ideal and women in Europe hit a ceiling at mid executive level.

Cons

The lack of communications and lack of ability and capability of European HR departments is appalling. Employees at bottom end of scale tend to be overworked and underpaid but remain intensely loyal.

Pros

Some lovely people on the ground. Some great managers, but very rare. Some great opportunities with the hiring freeze for up-skilling existing staff. Surviving the pandemic crisis well, despite being in the commercial buildings space. Senior leadership are trying to turn things round.

Cons

You know you're just a number. Senior management and execs do not care for staff at all. Travel ban, hiring freeze in place even pre-Covid to sweeten shareholders. Individuals would be let go at short notice with no warning. Different rules for execs of course.
