Pros

Great company to work for. Flexible working, 3 days in office, and flexibility for when life events occur Decent pay with yearly bonuses Brilliant Pension and benefits Good progression Use and adoption of new technologies, could say a leader in tech in the UK Good yearly pay rises

Cons

Just like anywhere else, if you stick around long enough, you start feeling like you're hitting a plateau, and your salary might reflect that too. It seems like there's a shift towards emphasizing culture and diversity, but it doesn't feel very welcoming unless you fall into the 'minority' category. There's also this move towards a stricter working culture, where those of us who can juggle multiple projects and shift contexts are now stuck on a single team. In short, there's less flexibility and cross-team collaboration, which used to be the cornerstone of how we've operated for the past 5 years. It feels like we're going back to the old-school ways of working from the 2000s. Opting for third-party tools to develop services instead of in-house coding, which would be both easier to support and program, appears to be a decision made without much consideration. This choice is likely to result in numerous issues down the line for a team like mine, which will bear the brunt of managing this system. Having to learn another system without significant benefits seems like an unnecessary and cumbersome task, resembling a lack of thoroughness.

Pros

Inflated pay for staff, very unlikely to get the same pay anywhere else.

Cons

Management Culture Understanding of Software is one of the worst I've seen. Told blatantly in the team I joined that there is no potential for promotion.

We are constantly looking at ways to improve the experience for our teams. We are proud of the level of investment we put into continuous development but we are always looking at ways where we can improve. Communication and listening is very important to us and we have made several significant changes over the past year as a result of feedback and engagement .

Thank you for your review. Like many companies, since the pandemic we have operated a hybrid working model where we encourage a mix of both office and remote working. This has worked well for us and we will continue to work in a hybrid way. However, we have an ambitious business strategy to deliver for our customers and we believe that being together is a key enabler to making this business transformation a success. Therefore, we have put in place a fair and consistent message across the organisation that we will operate in a hybrid model of 3-2, where everyone will work on-site 3-days and 2-days remotely.
