Pros

- Highly collaborative environment: people genuinely support each other’s growth. Proxima also has a great "community" structure internally to also support that - Progression based on your own journey, not a competition in that sense - Strong, inclusive office culture: monthly socials, coffee chats, Tuesday breakfasts; Sports and activities that you can also get involved (e.g. touch rugby ) - Mix of Proxima and Bain-led clients, offering varied experiences - Focus on workload management (timesheets encouraged) - Good flexibility around working from home (client-dependent) - Strong development opportunities, increasing as the company grows - Training has improved significantly, including intensive but fun training abroad - Leadership actively adapting processes to support rapid growth

Cons

- Project quality is subjective, so it can be hit and miss. However, I feel this is common in any consultancy, really - Compensation is lower than some consultancies, though offset by a better work-life balance

Pros

Nice people Excellent culture of helping one another Good mutual respect from other employees Good place to start your career - but don't stay too long.

Cons

Zero respect from higher management towards employees. No proper social events or training given, despide promises during interview process. High turnover rate for experienced people who know they can do better elsewhere. Salaries are woeful compared to similar organisations. No proper distinction on what qualifies one person as a senior consultant vs another as a principal or regular consultant. Expected to be in meetings from 08:30 until tea time if you're on a project. Lots of busy work and excel sheets, but tasks are very dull and uninspiring. The people who have worked there too long are like cult members (Proximites?). They have tunnell vision about how to approach tasks and are difficult to work with if you're not indoctrinated into their mindset. Ex CEOs of Proxima are given contracts to train staff in the most irrelevant and useless topics that you are expected to pretend to like.
