- Slow career progression. I often feel in my bi-annual reviews that they're doing more to look for reasons to keep my at my current title/pay grade than anything else. What I achieve in the previous six months seems to get glossed over in favour of nitpicking little things which didn't quite go right and focussing on those.
- Projects tend to be their own fairly isolated teams, so lessons learned on one project don't tend to get taken to other projects as much as they should.
