From PreSchool Teacher to Pet Claims Senior: Chantelle’s Journey When I used to work as a pre-school teacher, I had no plans to go into pet insurance. I enjoyed working with children, I loved how rewarding it was. However, I wanted better opportunities for progression, and it wasn’t until I started learning more about my friend’s job at More Than that I considered making the switch. I found out that I could join without any experience or knowing anything about insurance as I’d be trained up in full. Since moving to Admiral, knowing I can help others, I have finally gotten that rewarding feeling back. Click the link below to read the full story 👇

Charging Ahead Together: A Q&A with Craig Codell on Powering Admiral’s EV Future Craig, what inspired you to take on the EV Product Manager role at Admiral? “What drew me to this role was the chance to build something meaningful in a space that’s changing every day. EVs are moving so fast, technology, customer expectations, infrastructure and I love the idea of creating something that genuinely helps people navigate that. For me, product work is about solving real problems for real customers and our team have the room to explore, experiment and put customer insight at the heart of what we build. That combination is really exciting to me.” Click the link below to read the full story 👇
Floating holidays at Admiral: time off that works around your life Hi, I’m Eve, DE&I Project Lead at Admiral, and I’ve recently used our floating holidays benefit to visit my family who live afar. Let me tell you how it all works. One of our commitments to our people at Admiral is to be a place Where You Can Be You, and flexibility is a big part of this. As a rule, we’re all given UK bank holidays off, but for some of us, it’s not super important to take them where they traditionally fall. Our floating holidays benefit means that if a bank holiday isn’t a business-close-day, you can choose to work it and take that time back as annual leave elsewhere in the year. From Solicitor to Operations Manager – Emily’s career so far My career story is one of embracing new opportunities and progressing into a strategic leader. I joined Admiral Law over a decade ago as a Solicitor and have worked hard to progress into leadership roles - including my current position as Litigation Operations Manager. My early management roles involved leading junior and developing case handlers working on high‑volume caseloads. This period shaped my leadership style and taught me how to coach people at different experience levels, balance performance with genuine support, and build confidence and accountability within teams. We recently caught up with Chris Locke, Cyber Security Product Manager, who’s been part of Admiral since 2011. Based in Cardiff, Chris lives with his wife Dale and their two energetic sons. Outside work, he enjoys surfing, heavy metal, rugby, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Chris began his Admiral journey in Customer Service, learning how to deliver great service and solve problems under pressure. After 18 months, he moved into Complaints, progressing from handler to Analyst and Risk Officer, where his interest in security began. In 2017, Chris became a Team Manager, leading Audit, MI, and Risk teams, and creating an Information Rights team ahead of GDPR. His growing passion for technology led him to IT as a Guidewire Product Owner, learning agile ways of working before moving into his current role in Cyber Security. Now, as a Cyber Security Product Manager, Chris leads squads of Security Consultants, Pen Testers, and Engineers, supporting business-wide change. He credits Admiral’s culture, “Where You Can,” for empowering him to grow: “To me, ‘Be You’ means wellbeing support and being a Wellbeing Network Rep. It’s made a real difference to my mental health.” His advice? “Take ownership of your development, learn, connect, and make yourself known.” 👉 Follow the link below to read Chris’s full story
