At Admiral, we’ve always embraced technology as a way to do things differently. That pioneering spirit continues today, because Tech and Data aren’t for one type of person or career path. They’re built on diversity of skills, ideas and perspectives. Across engineering, data and cyber security, women are leading innovation, building communities and opening doors for others. Their stories show there’s no single route into a tech career, and that Admiral is a place where you can grow and thrive. Hannah Davies, Head of Data Strategy & Capability, moved from academia to analytics and founded Admiral’s Data & AI Academy to help colleagues upskill and make data part of everyday decisions. Named one of Women in Data’s Top 20 in 2024, she champions diversity: “It’s not about fixing women, it’s about using our differences as superpowers.” Jessica Lewis, Principal Engineer, helped shape Admiral’s digital evolution and co-founded Admiral Women in Tech, driving mentoring and inclusion. Meg Collis, Head of IT, joined in 2021, leading major transformations and empowering her team to thrive. “At Admiral, women can lead authentically, and when we do, everyone rises.” With structured pathways, mentoring, inclusive hiring and supportive leadership, Admiral is building a tech community where everyone can be themselves and make a difference. 👉 Click the link below to read the full blog post and explore their stories in full.

Admiral Money’s Car Finance product has come a long way since expanding into the dealer network just 12 months ago. Now available in over 500 UK dealerships, the team credits its growth on its focus on transparency and certainty for customers. We chatted with Ben Standish, Car Finance Product Director, to learn more. Hi Ben, before we dive into car finance, can you tell us a bit about yourself and your career so far? Hi there! I’ve been in the motor industry for 14 years, holding several different roles in business development, programme management, and leadership roles. My background is centred on experience at MotoNovo Finance, Oodle Car Finance, and Tandem Motor Finance, until joining Admiral Money in July 2023 to launch car finance via dealers. I’m passionate about improving the industry and how we as a brand can look to enhance car finance for customers, delivering a truly customer-centric offering with transparency at the core. 2020 was different in a lot of ways, but one thing that didn’t change was the generosity of our employees. A huge thank you to everyone that donated to the Mr X appeal this year and a special thank you to our organisers. Although it was very different to what we are used to, our employees didn’t disappoint! We were able to supply gifts for lots of children that would have otherwise gone without ensuring lots of smiles on Christmas morning. As always, our employees continue to make us proud and show why they are truly the best thing about our company. Here’s what Mr X himself had to say on the efforts… “We have been able to help more organisations than ever this year. With your help we covered: - Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Neath/Port Talbot, RCT, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan & Cardiff and dealt with over 75 childcare agencies.”
