At BAT Vietnam, CSR Day has become a tradition of getting involved in the local community. In fact, the BAT Global Guideline encourages that employees dedicate two working days each year to volunteering. 14 members of BAT Vietnam (aided by Head of Marketing, Scott Kirkham, and Head of HR, Dao Le Duyen) volunteered for the “Eatery of Smiles”, serving lunches to those in need from the surrounding areas. The team also handed out small gift sets including candies, sugar, washing powder and soap. By the end of the day they had served 884 lunch sets and made over 600 diners happy.

BAT Romania, with the support of a group of enthusiastic employees, organised a charity event and succeeded in bringing a smile to the lives of some people in need. With the volunteers’ support, our new friends from “Our Lady of Mercy” Charity enjoyed a wonderful picnic day at Mogoșoaia Palace in Romania. For one day, all of the attention and care was for them only. It was about showing appreciation, about giving a helping hand to those who needed most. Now, we are looking forward to making more of this possible. Thank you to our colleagues who volunteered and acted as one big team.

He led a relay team of six to cross the English Channel using the most brutal stroke – butterfly – in less than 20 hours. Having completed the 21-mile crossing between the UK and France on three separate occasions by himself, Kevin looked to the next seemingly-impossible feat.
