Over 2022 our employees have worked tirelessly to create homes for our customers and we’re so proud of all our achievements this year. All our awards are dedicated to everyone at Barratt Homes, Barratt London, David Wilson Homes, and all our partners and suppliers who have helped us achieve them. We congratulate our team on their achievements and accomplishments during this past year. We look forward to 2023 as we continue to make a positive impact in the industry! #barratthomes
In celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we are hosting a webinar for our employees called “Let’s Talk Disability” on the 2nd of December, at 13:30pm. The session will be led by Scaffold (Barratt’s newly formed Disability Connect Network) and will address how different colleagues’ disabilities affect them day-to-day and facilitate an open and honest Q&A session; giving colleagues the opportunity to ask questions they may usually be hesitant to ask. The webinar is open to all Barratt employees, whether they have a disability, line manage/work with someone who does, or simply want to know more. #diversityandinclusion #Buildingwithoutbarriers #IDPD2022 #disabilityinclusion #disabilitysupport
Last month, we gathered to kick off our exciting new Spotlight Programme - the first ethnic minority programme launched by our company! The launch was supported by our COO Steven Boyes, who joined to share a few wise words with the delegates. Our Spotlight Programme was developed to highlight talent and create a sense of belonging amongst our diverse workforce. It is a support programme that creates an internal network and helps us to identify actions to take. Delegates of the programme will take part in online conversations, panel discussions, a residential at Warwick Business School and a celebration ceremony to complete the journey. They will also guide our future ethnic minority employees. We're excited to continue to support and grow our diverse workforce! #Spotlight #BarrattCareers #Barratt #Diversity

This month saw our 2022 delegates come together to launch this year’s Catalyst Programme. Now in its fourth successful year, we developed our Catalyst Programme to support women into leadership roles within the housebuilding industry, helping them to navigate the organisation to achieve their goals. Our alumni from the programme were also there to widen the networking opportunities and pay it forward. The launch was attended by David Thomas, CEO, and Tina Baines, Company Secretary, who gave us their insight into the company and programme, and why it matters and shared their own experiences. We're excited to continue to grow our female leaders and lead the way for construction. #Catalyst #Women #Construction #BarrattCareers
In 2018 we launched our Workforce Forum as part of our continual efforts to improve how we engage with employees and give colleagues an additional route to have a say in the way they work. With representatives from across the business, it provides a range of perspectives from all walks of life. Since the forum was launched, the members have made an impact on a number of key areas including employee benefits, working conditions, and health and wellbeing. Their recommendations have led to changes in our charity initiatives and played a crucial role in our response to the coronavirus pandemic, to name a few. Recently, members visited one of our flagship developments in our West London division, Hendon Waterside, and learned more about the regeneration scheme in North London.
