Even the journey to the moon begins with a research paper. We took a moment to celebrate India's incredible feat of being the first country to land on the south pole of the moon! Here's to @isro.dos and our scientists for showing us that the sky isn't the limit after all, and to every single researcher moving the world forward, one hypothesis at a time! ๐๐ In the picture: folks in the Mumbai office celebrating the successful landing of the #Chandrayaan3 ๐ฎ๐ณ
Our mind is a tricky thing, and many a time plays quite a few games on us. "You're not good enough", "That win was a fluke!", or "You don't deserve this praise" - it tells us. We had Trina Banerjee, a Clinical and neuropsychologist, take Cactizens through this phenomenon of imposter syndrome that plagues many of us, hampering our growth and performance. In this one-hour session, folks did multiple introspective activities and learned tools to conquer their feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy. It was a refresher on living by one of our guiding principles - "Be conscious and self-aware, and take charge of your emotions." ๐ง ๐ป #PeopleOfCACTUS #LifeAtCACTUS #LivingTheCACTUSWay #CACTUSWay #MentalHealth #ImposterSyndrome
In an article on "The Future of the Workplace" in @ethrworld, our CHRO Yashmi Pujara talks about 3 things companies must focus on to enhance employee experience in today's rapidly changing times: ๐ฏ setting clear goals, ๐ enabling individuals to bring their best selves to work, and ๐ creating avenues to continuously reinvent themselves. What brings us together apart from our passion to help researchers succeed? Well... food is definitely one thing! ๐ฅ๐๐ฐ We had folks from the tech team come into the Mumbai office for a potluck today. From mouth-watering Indian snacks to freshly baked brownies, biryani and so much more, 25+ foodies worked, dined, and truly showed us how to live the CACTUS way of "Be happy, be healthy, and enjoy the ride!" ๐ Many of these folks are part of the Foodies Tribe. Tribes at CACTUS are WhatsApp-based communities of like-minded folks with a common interest. From Foodies to backpackers, movie-buffs, motorcyclists, bibliophiles, and many more, these groups help Cactizens meet folks from across the company who share similar interests and hobbies and make friends in a remote set-up! #PeopleOfCACTUS #LifeAtCACTUS #LifeAtCACTUSTech #FoodiesTribe #TribesAtCACTUS #Foodie #Potluck
Every fortnight, we TGIDF - We Thank God It's Demo Friday! ๐ฉโ๐ป Our tech teams virtually come together every other Friday to show the others, the features they're working on. Our developers and product managers across products and teams, give a quick demo and take questions on their latest build. "Demo Fridays help us find avenues to collaborate with different teams, know the cool stuff our colleagues work on, showcase the work we're proud of and eventually we end up building better features," says Kunal Sawhney, our Engineering Manager whose brainchild this initiative is. Here's to Kunal, and the folks in the tech team, who are #LivingTheCACTUSWay by speaking up, listening actively, and letting their differences enrich them! ๐ข #PeopleOfCACTUS #LifeAtCACTUSTech #LifeAtCACTUS #DemoFridays
Meet some of the folks behind the recently concluded Editage Grant Ceremony in Tokyo. The Editage Grant program was launched last year to give back to the researcher community in Japan by supporting young researchers in the early stages of their careers with a grant of 1 million JPY. "One of the most critical challenges that Japanese academia is facing is the lack of adequate support for young researchers," says Makoto Yuasa, President of Cactus Japan. "Through this grant, and opportunities to use our AI-based apps and tools, we enable millennial Japanese researchers to develop into the next generation of global leaders in academia,โ he adds. This team (and many more not in the picture), put together the grant, chose our finalists, selected the winners from over 230 applications, and hosted the mini-symposium to enable these researchers to reach their highest potential. #PeopleOfCACTUS #LifeAtCACTUS #EditageGrantJapan #CactusJapan Editage: Helping you get published
