In the lead up to Christmas, we've had a very special visitor making his way through all our Consensus services... that's right folks, Santa Claus himself has taken time out of his busy schedule to make some dreams come true! 🎅 After Jake from Leofric Villa and some other people sent very polite letters asking him to visit, we've managed to capture Santa visiting; ✨ Leofric Villa - spreading sparkles of magic (and some impressive moves) 🎁 Gretton House - despite the Grinch's presence, Santa didn't let any presents get damaged! 🎄 Phoenix House - making sure to get a photo with everyone there And plenty of other services across Consensus. Now, don't forget to thank Santa Claus by leaving a mince pie out for him tomorrow night, and a carrot for Rudolf too! 🥕
It’s certainly a magical time across Consensus at the moment – parties being had, presents being wrapped, and a whole lot of Christmas joy & spirit is all around. And at Phoenix House, the Christmas spirit is certainly buzzing throughout after their own Christmas miracle… Cue Betty – having lived at Phoenix House for years, Betty loves nothing more than the comforts of her own flat but has decided for the past 10 years she’d rather stay inside, than venture out of her front door. Well, that’s all changed. With Christmas magic in the air, Betty has stepped outside of her flat for the first time (and even a few more times since!), all to be apart of a group Christmas photo at Phoenix House. A few tears were certainly shed at seeing Betty make this amazing achievement – a massive well done to everyone at Phoenix House for helping Betty achieve this. 👏 Tissues at the ready, read the whole magical story here;
Did you know, the manufacturing process to produce one laptop uses enough drinking water for 9 people – for their whole lifetime. And with over 2000 colleagues, we have our fair share of technology to hand. With such startling statistics, Rhys - Our Head of IT, has been steering Consensus towards a greener IT Infrastructure, one laptop at a time. Recycling, reusing, and reducing, our first IT collection has seen; ♻️ 46 assets collected – recycling 13, reusing 33, and sending NONE to landfill. ♻️ An estimated 13,942.5KG of CO2e from reaching the atmosphere ♻️ 100 trees planted, offsetting enough CO2e to continuously heat a home for 400 days, or drive 115,000 in a car. The first of many, read about our steps towards sustainability;

When the CIW recently visited Parklands, not only did they share some amazing feedback, but we heard some great things from family members, too. 🌟 ‘We observed care workers to be attentive, kind, and supportive to people.’ 🌟 ‘People and their relatives told us how they are supported to be independent as they can be, to make their own choices and spend their time doing the things they want to do.’ 🌟 One family member said “It is fantastic here, they love living here, it’s like a home from home.” Whilst another shared “The staff are lovely, communication is very good, and we are always made to feel very welcome.” The report is a real testament to the colleagues that help make the place as great as it is, well done everyone 👏 #TeamConsensus
