Ensuring our Service Managers feel welcomed and supported from day 1 at Consensus, our Service Manager Induction has been developed to support a new manager to integrate into #TeamConsensus and feel confident in their new role. Spread over 3 months, the induction is focused on you and your new service - supporting you to feel prepared for the weeks, months, and (hopefully!) years to come. Buddying up with a fellow manager, we're focused on providing all new Service Managers with an induction that sets them up to flourish, grow, and find a career to belong. Highlights from our Service Manager induction include; ✅ 80% of managers surveyed felt the induction prepared them for their role within Consensus. 👍 The average rating of support received from their Area Director was 4 out of 5. 🎊 Comments included 'Great team support' and 'I had a very friendly experience and was made to feel welcomed'. Currently looking to welcome Service Managers in Camberley, Croydon, Bury St Edmonds, Shrewsbury and Peterborough.

Meet our Experts by Experience; people who live in a Consensus home, who we employee to deliver Oliver McGowan training across Consensus. Because who better to educate us on Oliver McGowan’s story, than those with lived experiences of learning disabilities and autism. Sharing Oliver's story whilst speaking about their own experiences too, we've recruited 17 experts by experience so far - ready to not only teach those who work in our Consensus services, but our Central Support Colleagues too. Passionate, experienced, and ready to ensure every voice is heard and listened to, our Experts by Experience have been delivering Tier 2 training on Oliver's story, helping us to make every moment matter. 3 days of training, sharing their experiences & ideas, you can find out how our Experts by Experience are making Consensus a greater place to live and to work; #oliverscampaign #olivermcgowantraining
Consensus – Where Every Moment Matters. This week we welcomed 130 service managers and department heads to our annual Leadership conference for two days filled with learning, laughter and celebration. Attending workshops, spending time sharing ideas & stories, learning new skills… we witnessed so much energy, passion, and commitment to the people we support in almost every conversation and every interaction. From Lukasz in a bunny suit... Amanda in a blueberry suit... Chris singing a unique rendition of Queen's 'Don't stop me now'... it was an amazing, uplifting, inspiring, (slightly tiring), conference – which we can’t wait to do it all again next year. Workshops, awards, and too many bright ideas to count, embrace life at Consensus with us and read all about the Leadership conference;

With 5 jam-packed days of different arts & crafts, the people we support & colleagues will be getting involved in expressing, and tapping into their creative talents.
