We’re recruiting deputy chief crown prosecutors here at the Crown Prosecution Service. As a deputy chief crown prosecutor you are a senior leader, responsible for an area of operational business. This could be within a specific geographical area, or the wider organisation. You report directly to a chief crown prosecutor, playing a pivotal role in maximising effectiveness in both casework and supporting service issues. Within the context of the organisation’s strategic objectives, you are accountable for day-to-day casework quality performance and operational delivery. The role can be based in any Crown Prosecution Service office in England and Wales, with regular travel required. Applications are now open for the Anthony Walker bursary scheme. The Anthony Walker Foundation was established in 2006 after the racially motivated murder of Anthony Walker in Huyton, Liverpool. Anthony’s family and friends wanted his name to live on with a positive, lasting legacy. The Foundation works to tackle racism, hate crime and discrimination by providing educational opportunities, victim support services and promoting equity and inclusion for all. The Anthony Walker bursary is a collaboration between the Anthony Walker Foundation, National Black Crown Prosecution Association and the Crown Prosecution Service. It aims to continue to increase diversity within the Crown Prosecution Service by inspiring and supporting students of minority backgrounds into a rewarding career as a prosecutor.
