Leaders Awards 2025: Celebrating the Voices and Achievements of People with Learning Disabilities and Autistic People On Friday 13th June Dimensions announced the winners of its 2025 Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ Awards. With 14 million disabled people and 700,000 autistic people in the UK, the winners of this year’s awards reflect the diversity of these groups, their achievements, and their hopes for building a more inclusive society in a time of rapid political and societal change. The Leaders’ Awards, run in partnership with Supported Loving, is the UK’s first national awards which recognises people with learning disabilities and autistic people who are challenging stereotypes, pursuing dreams and making communities better for themselves and others. This year’s winners are a set of remarkable campaigners, creatives, community champions and changemakers, who have shown resilience, passion and leadership in their everyday lives.
Winners at this year's Talent Lab Awards! We are thrilled that the Dimensions Group has won in the Best Assessment and Selection Strategy category at the 2025 Talent Lab Awards. This achievement is thanks to our partnership with Cohesion and the introduction of Care Character – a values-based personality assessment tool designed specifically for the care sector. Since its launch in June 2024, it has revolutionised our recruitment process, helping us identify candidates who truly align with our values. An approach Care England have commended, It is now faster, fairer and more effective – ultimately leading to even better care for the people we support. Care Character was selected with diversity and accessibility in mind, making sure a fair and inclusive experience for our support worker applicants. It is firmly rooted in our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership and Respect, helping us find people who truly reflect our mission of: Better Lives for More People.

This week at Dimensions, we’ve been proud to shine a spotlight on two important initiatives: Mental Health Awareness Week and Learning at Work Week. At Dimensions, we believe that learning never stops. During Learning at Work Week, we celebrated the many ways we empower our colleagues to grow, through formal qualifications, on-the-job training, and personal development opportunities. Supporting our people to learn and thrive is at the heart of what we do. We also marked Mental Health Awareness Week with powerful reflections from our Dimensions Council. They shared how strong communities can make all the difference and reminded us that mental health deserves just as much care as physical health. Looking ahead, we’re also honouring International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) on Saturday 17th May by sharing posters about the day, how to be an ally and where LGBTQI+ people can find support. This global day is a chance to stand with the LGBTQI+ community, raise awareness, and promote inclusivity and respect for all. World Autism Acceptance Month Today is World Autism Acceptance Day, marking the start of a month dedicated to celebrating and understanding autism. At Dimensions, our vision is Better Lives for More People—for those we support now and in the future, for their families and loved ones, for the wider sector through the sharing of our learning, and for our dedicated colleagues who work tirelessly to prove that life can get better. We are committed to creating accessible spaces and opportunities for autistic people to thrive. Through our bespoke training, inclusive workplace initiatives, and autism-friendly programmes, we ensure that everyone is supported, valued, and empowered. This April, let’s come together to foster understanding, champion acceptance, and celebrate neurodiversity.
Seven years running as a UK Best Workplace! We are delighted to tell you that the Dimensions Group has successfully been accredited as a UK’s Best Workplace by the Great Place to Work Institute for the seventh year in a row! This year we are 27th (up from 31st last year) – in terms of our ranking in the Super Large (1,000+ employee) category we are placed alongside many large corporations (such as Hilton, Adobe, DHL) and like last year, we remain the highest-ranking, dedicated non-profit social care organisation. The Colleague Survey and participating in this accreditation help us to keep striving to improve as an employer, and we also know that it helps us with recruiting new colleagues which is so important for continuity of support for people we support and to help colleague wellbeing.
This February, we proudly celebrated LGBTQI+ Awareness Month and Race Equality Week, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and diversity. Throughout the month, colleagues from our Diversity Matters Group shared personal blogs, highlighting inspiring LGBTQI+ icons, including those from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, who have shaped history—often without the recognition they deserve. We also focused on supporting the people we work with in exploring their identities and relationships in a safe and inclusive way. As part of Race Equality Week, we engaged in the 5-day challenge, shared insights on positive action in recruitment, and explored the impact of reverse mentoring in fostering inclusive leadership. By embracing these conversations and initiatives, we continue our journey toward a workplace and society where everyone feels valued, seen, and supported.
