Six years. Five scopes. One incredible outcome. This year, Kent reached a defining milestone in Western Kazakhstan, completing one of the energy industry’s most ambitious and complex commissioning programmes. From 2019 to 2025, our team delivered full commissioning and start-up services across five key scopes, culminating in First Oil in January 2025. With more than 26 years of experience in Kazakhstan, our local knowledge shaped every stage of the journey. It guided how we worked, how we collaborated, and how we delivered - safely, reliably, and with purpose. A snapshot of what we achieved: ✅ 24.5 million work hours with zero Lost Time Incidents ✅ Over 550,000 safe work hours per month at peak ✅ 96% national workforce participation This campaign reflects the best of Kent, global expertise, local partnership, and a culture built on care, performance, and respect. To everyone involved: thank you. This is legacy work. And we’re proud to have delivered it, together.
At Kent, we’re shaping the future of offshore wind with real-world experience and a proven track record in delivering some of the industry’s most complex projects. From the earliest feasibility studies through to engineering design, installation support and asset lifecycle optimisation, we bring decades of offshore experience to every wind project we support. Whether it’s fixed or floating wind, we deliver smart, scalable solutions that help our clients meet ambitious renewable energy goals. Our team will be at RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind in London, exhibiting over 20+ years in offshore wind and discussing how our integrated expertise across engineering, project management, and digital innovation has helped us secure 30+ GW of globally supported wind projects. Attending the conference? Come and say hello and find out how we’re enabling a sustainable energy future.
🚧 Milestone achieved at Maharaja Lela Jamalulam (MLJ) Low Pressure Compression (LPC) project, operated by Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. Our Serikandi Kent team has successfully completed the delivery and installation of the Compressor, Transformers, and Scrubbers – a key milestone in the project. Heavy equipment movements like these required meticulous planning, including bridge strengthening to allow safe access. Thanks to the team's coordination and care, the equipment was delivered and installed safely and efficiently, with zero incidents. This progress is happening in parallel with ongoing building works and structural and piping installations, with electrical and instrumentation (E&I) construction set to kick off soon. Big steps forward, powered by teamwork. 💪
🚀 What if a critical engineering drawing could be delivered in five hours, not forty? As part of Kent’s Autonomous Lifecycle Framework, we’ve deployed AI agents that can generate P&IDs using 100 years of engineering expertise and project data. The result? A drawing that once took 30 to 40 hours can now be completed in around five, without compromising quality, accuracy, or safety. But this isn’t just about faster drawings. It’s about freeing our engineers to focus on high-value design, strategy, and innovation, and helping clients unlock cost savings, consistency, and smarter delivery at every stage. From fixed platforms to floating wind, Kent’s offshore engineering teams deliver clarity and results, no matter how complex the challenge. With 45+ years of experience and powerful digital tools like WindVision and real-time digital twins, we help clients decarbonise, optimise, and extend asset life. 📩 Ready to face the future of offshore engineering? Let’s talk.
With over 45 years driving progress across Australia’s full energy landscape, we’re proud to be headline partners of Australian Energy Producers Conference and Exhibition - and to be part of the conversation on what’s next. On Wednesday 28 May, our very own Claudia Buenhombre, Senior Environment & Sustainability Engineer, will take to the stage to present a lifecycle assessment of low-emissions hydrogen production using autothermal reforming and carbon capture and storage. This is sure to be a crucial conversation as we determine the role of hydrogen and CCS in achieving real, scalable emissions reductions. Drop by our stand No. 36 to discover what we’re bringing to this year’s event.
✈️ Can engineering unlock the future of sustainable flight? In his latest article, Max Milarvie dives into the opportunities and challenges of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a key technology in the race to decarbonise one of the most hard-to-abate sectors. From feedstock limitations to process complexity, Max explores how engineers are tackling the technical barriers and why SAF is a practical, scalable solution for today’s aviation industry. Read the article on our website to find out how chemical engineering is helping shape the future of flight.

💡 Bridging the gap between build and operate isn’t just about project timelines, it’s about mindset. In his latest article, Chas Neaves explores why operational readiness can't be treated as an afterthought and why true EPCC stewardship means integrating CSU and ORA thinking from day one. At Kent, we’ve seen firsthand how even the most technically sound projects can falter if operational readiness isn’t baked into the DNA of delivery. That’s why we embed structure, culture, and accountability into every interface and handover.
