From future fuels to complex project delivery, these sessions reflect our commitment to building a more sustainable energy system while helping clients navigate today’s realities. We look forward to the conversations that will spark new ideas, collaborations, and solutions at this year’s event. See our full schedule on our website.
This week, we marked a special milestone for our third-year graduates with a two-day event filled with learning, leadership, and connection in Dubai. From leadership sessions with our senior team to hands-on workshops and team-building activities, our graduates had the chance to reflect on their journey so far, share experiences with peers from across the world, and look ahead to the exciting careers they’re shaping at Kent. The week wrapped up with a graduation dinner to celebrate their achievements and the strong community they’ve built along the way. At Kent, our Graduate Programme is designed to give young professionals the foundation to grow into the energy leaders of tomorrow. Through hands-on experience, world-class mentoring, and opportunities to work on major projects, we’re committed to nurturing the talent who will continue to drive our industry forward. The way we generate and use energy is changing, and it’s opening the door to smarter, more resilient solutions. In his latest article, Howard Thomas explores how shifting from centralised to local energy systems can unlock efficiency, resilience and new opportunities. He examines the hidden assumptions in today’s energy models, the role of digitalisation in enabling distributed power, and how businesses can move from paying for energy to earning from it. Read the full article to discover how a micro-scale approach could help shape a more sustainable energy future.
At Kent, we bring together top-tier AI and Digital Engineering expertise to tackle real-world energy challenges. Across the lifecycle of your asset, our AI and Digital solutions are helping to design, deliver and operate projects more safely, efficiently and sustainably. At the heart of this is Ennova AI, our digital platform that connects data across the project lifecycle, enabling smarter, faster and safer decisions that cut risk, boost efficiency and accelerate the energy transition. We’re thrilled to be returning to the AI Zone at this year’s Adipec Official Exhibition and Conference, following our debut last year. Curated with ADNOC, this immersive space showcases how intelligence, both human and artificial, is reshaping energy systems, empowering people and driving bold, cross-sector innovation. 🧩🌊 Can the offshore wind industry learn from Lego? In this article, Jason Brown explores how standardisation and modular thinking could transform the way we deliver offshore wind. Just as Lego thrives on simplicity and repeatability, Jason suggests that offshore wind must embrace the same principles if we are to scale at the speed the energy transition demands. From cutting costs to reducing risk and unlocking investment, standardisation could be the key to moving faster and delivering more. At Kent, we’re working with developers worldwide to bring greater standardisation to foundation and substation design, FEED and detailed engineering, helping projects move faster, reduce risk and unlock investment. Curious how standardisation could reshape offshore wind and accelerate the energy transition? Discover Jason’s vision for a “Lego-like” future on our website.
Kent has been appointed by ACWA Power as Owner’s Engineer for the Yanbu Green Hydrogen Hub in Saudi Arabia. Our team will act as ACWA Power’s technical representative throughout the front-end engineering design phase. We’ll provide independent oversight and assurance to support safe, efficient and technically robust project delivery; ensuring engineering design compliance, reviewing safety and constructability, managing technical interfaces, and advising on risk and design optimisation. Set to become one of the largest green hydrogen and ammonia facilities in the world, the Yanbu hub will deliver up to 400,000 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually. This project is a centrepiece of Saudi Arabia’s clean energy strategy and a major step in enabling large-scale green fuel exports to international markets.
The energy transition needs bold leaders. At ADIPEC 2025, Kent is ready to talk about how we’re helping shape the next generation that will continue shaping the future of energy. This year, talent and leadership are once again part of our line-up of big conversations. Our CEO John Gilley will join the panel ‘Transforming energy through leadership development’ to explore how inclusive leadership and mentoring are key to building resilience in a rapidly evolving energy sector. At Kent, we’re passionate about developing future leaders, people who will drive the energy transition with responsibility, innovation, and impact.
The world is shifting fast, and expectations around environmental responsibility are higher than ever. At Kent, we bring together technical excellence, regulatory awareness and delivery experience to help clients adapt and lead. Whether it’s securing permits, managing environmental constraints, or meeting compliance obligations, we provide pragmatic support tailored to your project’s needs. Ready to meet your environmental targets with confidence?
When demand is placed on a Safety Instrumented System (SIS), it needs to work. But ticking the right compliance boxes doesn’t always guarantee safety. In major hazard industries, we’ve seen how systems can drift from their original intent over time; changes in process conditions, forgotten documents, or untested upgrades. That’s where Functional Safety Management (FSM) makes the difference. At Kent, we see FSM as more than compliance; it’s a lifecycle commitment. From design and safety instrumented level verification to operations, audits, and modifications, we give operators the confidence that their systems will perform when it matters most. In this article by Dominic Lopez, you’ll discover how we make sure safety systems do their job when it matters most.
🌍 Inclusion starts with action. Kent Inclusion Week 2025 wrapped up today, celebrating the progress we’re making towards building a workplace where every voice matters. From 15–19 September, our people around the world came together in five sessions designed to spark action, reflection, and connection. This year’s highlights included: 👉 Creating Inclusive Teams: A session by Inclusive Employers, supported by Damian O'Gara, exploring practical ways leaders and allies can put inclusion first and help every team member thrive. 👉 Mentorship in Acceleration: Exploring how intentional mentoring creates fairer pathways and opportunities for all with Lia Believa and Danie de Kock. 👉 Cultural Intelligence: Understanding and adapting to diverse perspectives to strengthen collaboration and innovation. An insightful session by T–, supported by Tush Doshi. 👉 Psychological Safety at Work: Priscilla Coen, supported by John Gilley, discusses building trust and openness so teams feel safe to speak up and succeed together. 👉 Inclusion at Kent: An honest podcast conversation on progress, challenges, and the work still ahead with Karen Blanc and Aswathi Mohandas. Listen here: https://bit.ly/3KtEyTS This week reminded us that inclusion is not one moment in time, it is the daily choices we make to listen, support, and grow together. Read more on our website.
