The look of sheer concentration at our Dean Street office last night as London Terrariums set up a workshop for us. Not only was it hugely therapeutic, but also extremely entertaining - highlighting the perfectionists among us and those lacking patience! The night ended with beautiful botanical creations and a significant amount of soil coating the office floors...
In what's already been a newsworthy week for MSMG, we'd like to give a shout-out to the 54 generous colleagues who volunteered their time and energy to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks this month - raising over £31K for the The Prince's Trust. Money we know will help the trust to keep doing amazing work to support young people. Thank you all so so much 💚
We're pleased with our Interim results today - only achieved through an incredible amount of hard work by our colleagues across Moneysupermarket Group. Our first half financial performance is ahead of plan and we have been able to increase full year guidance to around the top end of stock market expectations, and this is against really challenging markets. Our purpose and everything we do is about helping households save money, and we also have a responsibility to our colleagues too. Which is why we've announced a one-time cost of living support payment of £2,000 for those within our organisation who are most in need.

Last week for Mental Health Awareness Week, our employee resource group Thrive, organised some events for our colleagues to keep the conversation around mental health going. First up for colleagues to get involved in was a wellbeing workshop hosted by PoetsIN, which provided our colleagues with a safe digital space for the exploration of emotions and gave them tools for managing mental health and wellbeing. We were also joined by Petra Velzeboer, a mental health and resilience specialist, who came to talk to us about her experiences and shared practical tools for creating change both individually and at work. The week finished off with a home crafting session, where colleagues painted with coffee! And if that wasn't enough to get involved in... throughout the week colleagues submitted entries into our nature competition, to celebrate the great outdoors.
Today, the UK is marking one year since the first coronavirus lockdown was announced, and last week at Moneysupermarket Group was a year since we all started working remotely. To celebrate this milestone, we reached out to colleagues to share some of their highlights from the last year. This week is Neurodiversity Celebration Week, and to mark the week at MSMG, our Employee Resource Group #Represent hosted a week of talks to raise awareness of neurodiverse conditions and highlight neurodivergent strengths and how colleagues with neurodiverse conditions can help bring new, diverse perspectives. Colleagues are joining talks on living with undiagnosed ADHD and Autism, exploring experience of ableism in the workplace and our #Represent team shared top picks of films, tv, literature and blogs that showcase neurodiversity. This celebration supports our Group behaviour to create belonging and an inclusive environment, where everyone can be their true selves and where everyone's voice is valued. We believe that this diversity of thought - and of different perspectives - helps us thrive as individuals and together as a team.
