Ocado customers can now get 20p back for every own-brand milk bottle they recycle! From today, our customers will be able to scan a QR code on two and four-pint Ocado milk bottles to receive a monetary reward for simply putting the packaging into a recycling bin. This is thanks to our partnership with Polytag Limited and recycling app Bower. In total, more than 8 million of Ocado’s milk bottles will feature Polytag’s unique-every-time QR codes. The first 20,000 codes scanned through the Bower recycling app will see customers receive 20p in their digital wallet, which can be withdrawn to their bank account.

We’re delighted that Ocado Retail’s Customer Hub has won Gold at the UK National Contact Centre Awards for Large Contact Centre of the Year. This is well deserved recognition for the 400+ strong team of advisors based in Sunderland. They are the friendly voice at the end of the phone, email, web chat and social media for our brilliant customers.
Our second Zoom by Ocado site is now officially open in Canning Town, East London We're proud to serve and support our new local community and have recently donated £500,000 to The Felix Project in nearby Poplar. The donation covers the cost for the charity to purchase five new electric vans and install nine electric charging points to help power the amazing work they do. Zoom by Ocado is also donating food and drink items to Magic Breakfast, a charity providing hearty and nutritious morning meals to schools up and down the country, including a network of nine schools in the local area. The new Canning Town site will employ 130 people and opens with a fleet of 100% last-mile green delivery vehicles including electric cars, e-cargo bikes and electric mopeds. Shopping arrives in recyclable bags and clever technology from Ocado Group helps maintain our market-leading food waste level of just 0.6%. Zoom by Ocado customers can choose from over 10,000 products for delivery within 60 minutes or a one-hour slot later that day - including food and drink from some London favourites
