After what was a pretty unprecedented year on all fronts, we thought it was extra important to close last year celebrating all that we achieved as a team. It was great to see our teams from across our global offices relax and have some fun together, so we thought we’d share a few of our highlights… We enjoyed a festive bake off with treats that Mary Berry would approve of in our London office; had a gingerbread house decorating competition in Dallas; and enjoyed a family-friendly visit from Santa in Shanghai, later washed down with mulled wine and festive snacks. To top it all off, our global 2022 Third Bridge Awards saw employees nominate more than 200 colleagues to be recognised for going above and beyond last year - that was the cherry on the top to close the year for us!
In Shanghai, our team celebrated Pink Friday as part of pride and a wider well-being campaign, “how to be kind to my mind.” You can see that Pink Friday stays true to its name… here is a snap from our frisbee night 📷 We all work hard, so looking after ourselves is important, especially when times get tough. At Third Bridge, we’ve created a diverse and inclusive workplace, so our colleagues feel supported to thrive and craft great work!
EcoVadis, the global standard for business sustainability ratings, has awarded Third Bridge a silver sustainability rating, placing Third Bridge in the top 25% of the 90,000+ companies that EcoVadis rates globally. With encouragement and steering from our ESG council, our employee resource groups have made enormous efforts to embed ESG in our culture, and we’re so proud of the journey to date. But we’re not done yet - watch this space. This is what our CEO and Founder Emmanuel Tahar had to say about the award: "In today's world, operating sustainably is only getting more important. This award demonstrates our commitment to doing the right thing and putting ESG at the heart of our business."
Our analysts are laser focused on individual industries rather than being generalists. And the media frequently turn to them because of their depth of knowledge. The Evening Standard recently spoke to Orwa Mohamad, a Consumer Sector Analyst at Third Bridge. According to Orwa: “Tesco is in a better position to face competition from discounters. Our experts say Tesco has strong pricing power, a sufficiently wide range of products for customers to trade down in the store, and a big advantage in its Clubcard loyalty scheme.” You can read the full interview here: https://bit.ly/3Tga6vV
We love to see employees around the world using their 2 annual CSR days to give back to the local community and collaborate with colleagues. Here's a recent snap of our New York team building garden boxes for the residents of the supported housing, thanks to Services for the UnderServed charity.
Last week a group of Third Bridge colleagues volunteered at Ace of Clubs Charity in South West London using one of their two Corporate and Social Responsibility days. Here's what Third Bridger, Nessim Sahnine, had to say about the day: "Today made us realise that Ace of Clubs is not just a lunch service for homeless, vulnerable and marginalised people but also a place that offers help and practical advice to those in need. Fish Friday is usually quite a busy day, and the staff expressed their gratitude for our help. They said they would love it if we could come back again to volunteer, which I would be very keen to do!"
We host monthly global town halls at Third Bridge to keep employees abreast of what's taking place across our growing business and for leaders to answer the questions on our peoples' minds. There will forever be a hybrid element to these to be inclusive to our global teams, but there's something really special about being back in a room together again too!
Here’s our Pride Month Roundup! Our employees and ESG council have produced brilliant events, webinars and educational awareness content to celebrate and recognise Pride month this month and all year round. Despite some of our colleagues still facing covid restrictions, there’s been a tonne of great stuff going on from LGBT+ mental health speakers in Asia, focusing on HK, Mainland China and India; Drag Bingo over in our New York office; Pride Brunch and a HUGE Shoreditch Pride Party with our London colleagues. Being at Third Bridge means All Rising Together. Delivering an industry-leading ESG blueprint that benefits our people, planet, communities, and stakeholders is all part of what makes it great to be here. #ESG #Pride #WeAreThirdBridge
