Thomson Reuters is proud to be one of fourteen companies named a leader of AnitaB.org’s Top Companies for Women Technologists, a program that recognizes companies building workplaces where women can thrive. The program analyzes gender and racial data of the technical representation, as well as organizational programs and policies tied to structural equity. AnitaB.org shares benchmarked data and insights with participating companies so they can continue to build more equitable and inclusive workplaces. We are also a sponsor this year for the Grace Hopper Celebration – the world’s largest gathering of women and non-binary technologists – and we’re excited to send 50 women and non-binary technologists and their allies #WorkingAtTR to the conference. Heather, a Manager in Technology in our Ann Arbor office, attended the conference last year and shared the biggest takeaways from the experience. “Attending the Grace Hopper Conference last year was transformational for me as a Technology Manager. It gave me the extra boost of confidence, skills, and network I needed as a female leader in Technology. The experience, information, and connections formed at this conference will stay with me my entire career.” We look forward to sharing more about attendees' experiences during the conference later in September!

"As a parent who deeply values my family and career, I'm thrilled to announce that I'm taking parental leave to be there for my little ones during these precious early moments." #DYK that in April, Thomson Reuters added a new key benefit to our Flex My Way program – Parental Leave, a new global minimum standard of 16-weeks leave following birth or adoption of a child. John Duda, a Sales Manager in Minneapolis, shared his thoughts on taking parental leave as a new dad. "It's true, there's still a lingering stigma about taking parental leave, often accompanied by guilt and fear of judgment. But let me tell you, embracing this opportunity is vital for empowering everyone on my team. By leading by example and showing that family matters, I hope to inspire others to do the same without feeling pressured or judged. A work environment that encourages work-life balance benefits everyone, from improved productivity and creativity to fostering a culture of trust and understanding. As a leader, it's my responsibility to pave the way for positive change and challenge outdated norms. Together, we can create a workplace where all team members feel supported in their personal lives without compromising their professional growth. I'm grateful to work for a company that values family and supports me in taking this important step. Let's break down barriers, eliminate guilt, and promote a more inclusive workplace together."
“In July, I was fortunate to have the flexibility to work in Turkiye for three weeks, allowing me to reconnect with my immediate family. Thomson Reuters Work from Anywhere benefit gave me the opportunity to balance my work responsibilities while cherishing precious moments with my siblings and parents. This experience has left me feeling rejuvenated, filled with intrinsic motivation, and a profound sense of joy. As I reflect on these cherished memories, I am excited to share some photos I've captured along the shores of the Black Sea and Mediterranean.” - Muj, Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Toronto
