We recently celebrated wellbeing day, a day where colleagues across the world took part in volunteering activities in support of our Sustainability Aim 15 - to enhance the health and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and local communities. 🌍👏 Activities spanned from volunteering at a food bank in Egypt to a clothes donation drive in Kuala Lumpur! See below how our colleagues made the most of the day and embodied our core value of caring for others.❤️

“After having the opportunity to help set up our gas & low carbon energy business, I knew this was where I wanted to stay.” 💚 After spending 14 years working in upstream roles, Tomeka found a passion within the hydrogen business: “It’s where I really feel I can make a difference. We have a competitive advantage at bp, because we have the capability to work across the entire value chain.” 🤝 As vice president of hydrogen, Tomeka is now leading our strategy for this business in the US. So why not join her – and us – on this journey.
👨💻 Coding was already second nature to Ben when he joined our digital apprenticeship – since the age of 14 he has taught himself to code in 6 different languages, including Python, C# & Java. After fielding job offers from some of the biggest names in the tech industry, he in fact chose to start his career at bp: “Throughout the interview process, bp just felt more human and personal – I knew I’d be valued for who I am.” Now Ben is working with our reservoir engineering community to enhance and streamline daily workflows with automation and AI 🤖. To anyone looking to gain some real working experience alongside getting a degree, Ben’s advice is “just get stuck in!” So get stuck in here!
🍃🌬 “I’m fascinated by the idea of delivering clean energy at scale, and that a single offshore wind project can power a million homes is incredibly exciting.” As VP of offshore wind business excellence, Ioanna works with her team to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges the energy industry faces. It’s a passion that she takes home with her too: “I can explain to my 5-year old son what I do, and he can easily visualise it and understand it – and I get a lot of wind turbine drawings as presents!” 🎨🎁 Are you a big fan of wind energy too? Check out opportunities in our growing team!
