I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Dojo (Bristol, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
I was sent an email showing interest in my application, and to confirm a date for when I am available for an interview. Upon receiving this email, I inserted a date 2 days from the day the email was sent and was again promptly informed that the date was confirmed for 11:30 am (phone call interview).
The interview was with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, and I was ready to have a nice chat about the role and what I could provide for the company. At 11:30 am that day I had not received a phone call, but waited a few more minutes before assuming something was wrong. I checked my emails and found that at 11:29 am, I had been sent a rushed email informing me that 'something urgent' had come up, but they will be in touch to reschedule a new time for said interview.
The following day, I received a generic/automated email informing me that all positions had now been hired and no more applications would be considered and that they encourage me to keep an eye out for new opportunities.
I understand and respect a company's right to close job listings early if a candidate is found; however, offering an interview to then not follow through with them before hiring is a poor practice. To have a dedicated section on your site explaining how hiring is 'transparent' and 'conversational', but to not follow through with this only leaves me puzzled and in a struggle to feel encouraged to look out for future opportunities if this is how the hiring process is executed.

Simple preparation, just be aware that you'll be interviewed by two people who may have a completely different outlook on the company. Use the star method and you'll get along swimmingly. Long conversations with a exercise at the end.

I recently went through the interview process at Dojo, and while it was thorough and involved multiple stages with various questions and assessments, I always felt supported. The process was well-organized, and everything went smoothly. The entire team was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a long process much more enjoyable. I appreciate the effort Dojo puts into ensuring candidates feel valued and informed every step of the way.
