Guardant Health Manager interview questions

Had great conversation with recruiter who wanted to move me to the next step. Said would get back to me after he talks to both the director and their boss. However, The hiring manager did not want to meet with me so the recruiter called me back to tell me that they just moved another person along in the process. Quite odd feeling since I would have thought the recruiter would have known, right? Recruiter was very nice and warm. He sounded sincerely apologetic.
