Our sole focus is on patient care, not on profit
We have been at the forefront of urgent care since the early 1990s. We’ve grown from a small group of GP cooperatives to a social enterprise organisation serving over six million patients.
We are Integrated Care 24 – the leading not-for-profit Social Enterprise. We provide high quality, integrated, urgent care to over six million patients and are proud to have been an NHS Business Partner for over 25 years. We’re not profit driven, we make a positive difference – for everyone.
Our Purpose
At IC24 our purpose is to provide responsive, safe, high-quality urgent healthcare at the right time, in the right place, supporting our patients to ensure they live their lives to the full.
We’re proud of our social enterprise status and our ability to provide our patients with access to health care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
As a not for profit organisation, any surplus that we make is reinvested straight back into our people and patients, rather than being distributed to shareholders. This means we’re part of the NHS family, enhancing it through the added social value we bring.
Social enterprises currently provide around £1.5 billion worth of health and social care services to the UK, and we’re proud to be part of the sector. Not only are we members of Social Enterprise UK, we are also holders of the Social Enterprise Gold Mark. As a Gold Mark holder, we’re independently assessed against important factors such as governance and financial transparency. We were the very first organisation to be awarded this prestigious accolade, and are currently one of only five social enterprises who hold the Gold Mark.
We produce a social impact report on an annual basis, which gives an overview of the social impact that we have delivered.
