Our Clinical Education team, alongside Dr Thornton (Divisional Medical Director), recently met with Kent and Medway Medical School for our Operational, Contract and Quality Review Meeting (OCQRM). Together, we reviewed valuable feedback and explored how we can continue strengthening our partnership to provide the best possible placement experiences for students. We’re proud to confirm our continued partnership with KMMS, supporting Year 2 and Year 4 medical students for the 2026/27 academic year. These placements give students a unique insight into how NHS pathways operate within a contact centre setting. Year 4 students also gain hands-on experience by joining our out-of-hours team on weekend home visits. Investing in future healthcare professionals is key—and we’re excited to keep building on this important work. #MadeToBeBrave
We're celebrating Pride Month at IC24! 🌈 Throughout the month, we've organised special guest speakers, bake sales, creative crafting sessions, and many more events to bring colleagues together and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community. We're incredibly proud of our colleagues and the fantastic work our LGBTQ+ Friends CRG group has done to help create a workplace where everyone feels welcome, valued, and able to bring their full selves to work. Happy Pride Month! #PrideMonth #Pride2026
Our colleagues at Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre recently came together for a special lunch to celebrate IC24’s 30th birthday. Seeing these moments of team building, appreciation and recognition happening across the organisation has been wonderful to see — especially as we reflect on three decades of providing the best possible care for our patients and communities. After lunch, the team took part in a thoughtful activity called Pass the Appreciation, where colleagues left anonymous notes for one another highlighting something they appreciated, had noticed, or felt inspired by. What a fantastic idea, and a lovely reminder of the positive impact we can have on each other every day. #BetterTogether
Our CEO and Deputy CEO, alongside members of the IC24 team, had the pleasure of spending time with our fantastic friends at Victoria Nursing Group, sharing tea, cake, and great conversations with residents and staff. We brought our 30th birthday celebrations with us and were so touched to be welcomed with an amazing birthday banner too! Thank you to everyone at Victoria Nursing Group for such a warm welcome and for helping us celebrate this special milestone! #BetterTogether
We were delighted to recently welcome members of NHS England and the ICB to Phoenix House in Basildon as part of the celebrations for IC24’s 30th birthday. It was fantastic to see so many of our colleagues there to celebrate this important milestone together, while also reflecting on three decades of supporting patients and communities. The visit also provided a valuable opportunity to discuss how we can continue working together to strengthen urgent care services across the East of England. Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support the vital work being delivered every day — and a special thank you for the thoughtful 30th birthday card! #BetterTogether
We were honoured to welcome The Lady Colgrain, Lord Lieutenant of Kent, to IC24 as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations. During her visit, Lady Colgrain officially unveiled a commemorative plaque celebrating 30 years of IC24 and our #BetterTogether journey, joined by colleagues in person and others who attended virtually. It was a proud moment to reflect on how far we’ve come and celebrate the people who continue to make IC24 what it is today. Read more about the visit here: https://ow.ly/yYV250YZ1Bv
As we celebrate our 30th Birthday, what better way to get colleagues involved than with a fun baking competition across our multiple sites! 🎂🧁 As you can see, we received some truly amazing entries, and it was an especially tough day for our judges — but they just about managed to pick their winners! We were also delighted to welcome UHUK to our Norwich site, where they joined us as a special guest judge for the competition! Days like these, and celebrating the milestone of reaching 30 years, show exactly why we are all #BetterTogether
As part of our 30th birthday celebrations, we’ve created a commemorative pin to mark the occasion. Colleagues across our locations and departments have been sharing photos of their pins and celebrating together — recognising the people, teamwork, and dedication that have shaped IC24 over the past 30 years. Because we’re always #BetterTogether
This May, IC24 is officially celebrating its 30th birthday! 🎉 That’s 30 years of providing care for our patients, and we couldn’t be prouder of the journey we’ve been on.
