Pros

There are SOME nice people. That's about it. There's one, maybe two good managers in the whole company.. unfortunately I had neither. Twice a year you get to finish early for gassing. The experience gave me new appreciation for managers that treat you like a human and companies that value staff, after I left. The bucket/bin/puddle maze every time it rains is kinda fun. They'll claim they're going to fix the roof, but apparently they've been saying that for the last 6+ years.

Cons

In the past week, most negative reviews have been removed.. be careful! ATL is one of 14 companies I have worked for over the years... and is by far the worst! Joining the company and staying for as long as I did is currently my biggest regret. Staff are not valued and are expected to "work like ants." Blame culture, lying and gaslighting are very normal here. Very questionable priorities from team leaders/management/upper management/HR. Overworked, underpaid and under constant stress. You get whiplash from all the changes in direction. For the title: There are very few Pharma/science companies in the area.. so most people relocate to join the company. Once there, you're effectively trapped. Your options are: spend a small fortune relocating again, move to GSK which is usually on temp contract, or stay till you can't stay any longer. Quite a few people leave without another job which says a lot! Honestly the worst company I have ever worked for. I get anxious just thinking about the place and going to Worthing. Life is so much more peaceful and happy since leaving.

Pros

The people in my department are great to work with.

Cons

Allergy Therapeutics is an innovative company looking to better the lives of its customers and patients, but at the expense of their employee's wellbeing. My time here has been traumatic to say the least. Started off alright but quickly could sense that all was not right! Colleagues stressed, management poor and some had no idea what they were doing, inconsistent expectations with benchmarks changing every single day, overworked, underpaid, employing all these new people in fancy positions yet some deserved employees can't get a promotion. Overcomplicated systems, poor and confusing documentation, telling everyone to turn their NHS Track & Trace apps off at work at the height of the pandemic as whole departments had to be sent home (their reason was because the app does not know what precautions were put in place, the building was overpopulated and too small anyway, social distancing impossible, coronavirus breeding ground). Stagnant managers who have been round far too long, no parking, tiny tearoom, mess and paperwork left everywhere, little room for progression, jobsworths, no fun, no enjoyment, good luck if you are physically disabled and want a job there the only access to offices is by using an industrial lift, high staff turnover, lack of training, GMP optional on some days, pushing boundaries as much as possible to avoid non conformances. But its ok, the company sent everyone working from home a KitKat and a teabag and everyone at work got a free ice cream to make us take a break for our mental health. I spent my additional 15 minute break searching for new jobs which did my mental health a lot of good as I got a new job and handed in my notice yesterday!
