Pros

You get free gym membership but whenever you use the gym you get hounded by members because something will have been broken for months but head office won't authorise its repair so there's nothing you can do. You get discount in an over priced retail store that, when applied, still makes items more expensive than sports direct.

Cons

Long, long hours, ridiculous expectations from senior management, no help or support from area managers. They couldn't care less about the members of the clubs, they are only interested in getting more people through the door but don't realise that you won't get more people in without advertising. Their own arrogance makes them believe that people will automatically join based on the equipment provided, not realising that it is also about the atmosphere in the club. When talking about getting new sales I would often be told that people don't need to try the club before they sign up "why do they need a trial? What do they need to know, that the pool's wet and you run on a treadmill! Just get them signed up!" They manage their employees with fear, and nothing will ever be the companies fault. They use their employees as scape goats and their solution is to sack the current workforce and employ more victims. Working for this company will drain the life from you, cause you stress and affect your health. This is not an exaggeration, trust me I've been through it for nearly 2 years. They don't care about the people who work for them, they don't care about the people who join their fitness clubs. Watch out fitness first, they'll do exactly the same to you.
