Pros
Not many! If you have a good team, they are the difference between you mentally surviving a shift.
Cons
Kent Police's priorities are all wrong. Too much focus on how they would be percieved by the mass public, than how effective their constables tackle crime. Hierarchy are too concerned with statistics, even if the reported incident is not really a crime, officers are actively encouraged to pusrsue some form of sanction. Most of the time this is not required. You needlessly criminalise or over victimising someone for the sake of another charge/disposal to make your statistics look good. This has the knock on effect of taking good officers away from pro-active policing, the 'boots on the ground'. Too heavy emphasis on diversity and inclusion. If a particular role, lets say firearms has less women, its because they don't want to be firearms officers. Likewise, holding recruitment events exclusively for ethnic minorities is positive discrimination.
